General information :

First airship built by Schutte-Lanz. Built at Rheinau, near Mannheim.

Construction : geodetic frame made from plywood, gave a highly streamlined shape.

Made 53 flights, longest duration : 16 hours. 12 December 1912 the airship was

handed over to the German army but soon afterwards it broke loose from its mooring

during a storm and was destroyed near Berlin
